Deal Pulse
The Deal Pulse (opens in a new tab) page is your command center for managing and tracking your open sales deals. It displays all of your open sales deals in a filterable, searchable list so you can review the Data Parrot AI Insights and take action.
Data Parrot analyzes all of your open sales deals and provides a high level Deal Health Score and Forecast Category - you can drill into the details of each deal to see additional detailed AI analysis.

How to use Deal Pulse
The Deal Pulse page gives you tools to filter, sort and search your open sales deals so you can understand the health of your pipeline through each individual deal analysis.
You can expand any of the Deals to see the AI Analysis, Timeline, and Suggestions.
Main Filters
The Main Filters are the standard filters that are available at the top of the page. You can filter on Pipeline/Stage(s), Deal Owner(s), and Team(s).
Simply select the filters you want to apply including Pipeline(s)/Stage(s), Deal Owner(s) and Team(s).
You can save and recall filters by clicking the "Save/Load Filter" dropdown.

Deal Pulse Filters
There are additional Deal Pulse Filters including:
- the AI Analysis categories
- Engagements (Calls, Meetings, Emails)
Expand the Deal Pulse Filters to see the available filters for AI and Engagements.
You can save your Deal Pulse filters as presets to recall later.
AI Filters: The AI Filters are the AI Analysis categories including AI Health, Forecast Category, Deal Status, Customer Intent, Competitive Position, Sales Performance, Close Date Confidence, and Deal Stage Confidence.
Engagement Filters: The Engagement Filters are the Engagements including Calls, Meetings, and Emails - whether they happened, the time range, and the AI impact. For Calls you can filter on Status, and for Meetings you can filter on Outcome.

Filtering Deals by AI Analysis and Engagements
AI Filter Details:
- AI Health: The AI Health Score of the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low)
- Forecast Category: The Forecast Category of the deal (Commit, Best Case, Pipeline)
- Deal Status: Reveals if the deal is active or stuck (Active, Stuck, Dormant, Dead, Inactive, No Activity)
- Customer Intent: The Customer Intent of the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low). Sometimes referred to as Purchase Intent.
- Competitive Position: The Competitive Position of your company with the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low)
- Sales Performance: Analysis of how well the sales person is performing with the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low)
- Close Date Confidence: The AI Confidence of the Close Date of the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low)
- Deal Stage Confidence: The AI Confidence of the Deal Stage of the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low)
Note: All of these AI insights are automatically generated and updated as the deal progresses.
Examples of Filter Combinations
The ability to dynamically filter deals by AI Analysis and Engagements is very powerful. Here are some examples of useful filter combinations:
- Deals closing this month, with no emails in the last 7 days, with high Customer Intent
- Deals with High Customer Intent, are Stuck/Dormant, and have no Discovery Meeting
- Deals with Low Confidence in Close Date and are are Stuck/Dormant
When you combine the Deal Pulse filters with the Main Filters, you can quickly scan deals and focus on the right deals at the right time.
For example, you can set your Deal Pulse filter(s), then toggle between Deal Owners to review each sales person's deals.
Viewing your Deals
Once you have applied your filters, you will see a list of deals that match your criteria.
In the deal table, you can:
- add/remove new columns
- sort by any column
- search for deals by name
- expand the deal to see the AI Analysis, Timeline, and Suggestions

Deal Pulse Mode
Deal Pulse Mode is a faster, more efficient way to review deals and focus on coaching your sales team and helping you build a higher quality sales forecast.
It is a gamified way to review deals, with a progress bar, timer, and a focus on the current deal you are reviewing.
The most common use cases are:
- Individual Sales People cleaning up their own deals before a Deal Review Meeting
- Sales Leaders running a Deal Review Meeting with their team
- Sales People running a Deal Review Meeting with themselves
- Sales Leaders cleaning up deals before committing a forecast
In Deal Pulse Mode, you can quickly get a complete picture of everything going on with the deal, the AI analysis, and update key HubSpot properties directly including Close Date, Stage, and Amount.
Deal Pulse Mode is "going full-screen" on a single deal at a time - review the AI analysis, timeline history and update the key deal details in HubSpot. Then confirm / move to the next deal.

How to Start
Go to Deal Pulse (opens in a new tab), then click the "Deal Pulse Mode" button in the top right corner of the Deal Pulse page.

There are 4 major sections of Deal Pulse Mode:
- List of Deals for Review: This is the list of deals that matched the filters when you started Deal Pulse Mode.
- Top Bar: Session stats (Avg Review Time per Deal, Total Time, and Total Deals Reviewed) and changes to the Forecast as a result of any deal changes made. Click View All to see all the changes.
- Deal Workspace: A summary of Deal, AI Analysis, Suggestions and Timeline.
- Action Bar: Update HubSpot properties directly including Close Date, Stage, and Amount. Create Notes and Tasks directly in HubSpot. Click Confirm to commit the changes to HubSpot.

How to Use Deal Pulse Mode
- Review the Deal Workspace to see the Deal Information and AI Analysis to get a quick overview of the deal.
- Review the Timeline to see the recent events, key property changes, and AI Deal Health changes over the history of the deal.
- If you are reviewing this deal with the sales person, this is a great time to review potential next steps - how to win the deal, advance it, or shut it down.
- Change the Close Date, Stage and/or Amount and click "Confirm". HubSpot will be instantly updated!
- For any actions/next steps - click the "Create Note" or "Create Task" button in the bottom action bar to create a Note or Task directly in HubSpot.
- View the impact on your Forecast. In the top action bar, on the left, you can see the impact on your next 3 months. To see all the changes, click "View All" and a Bar Chart will appear showing the "before" and "after" values of your forecast for the targeted deals.
- Click "Back" to go to the previous deal, "Next" to go to the next deal, or "Confirm" to move to the next deal. Or optionally select a specific deal in the Deal List on the left.
- Continue going through the deals.
- When you are finished, click the "Finish Session" button in the top left corner of the Deal Pulse page and a summary of the session will be displayed.
Deal Pulse - Advanced Mode Tips
Here are some quick tips to make the most of Deal Pulse Mode:
- Focus your Deals: Before starting Deal Pulse Mode, carefully select your filters to focus on the deals that need review for your current objective. Are you reviewing top deals in the next 3 months? Inspecting the entire pipeline? Focused on best case deals?
- Review the AI Feedback: You can expand each AI Analysis category to see the detailed AI analysis. Click or mouseover Deal Health and Deal Status to see additional insights.
- Close Date and Stage Confidence: In the Action bar, there is an indicator representing confidence for the Close Date and Deal Stage. Mouseover to see why the AI agrees or not with the current values. (Red = Low Confidence, Yellow = Medium Confidence, Green = High Confidence)
- Create Notes and Tasks: Creating Notes and Tasks directly in HubSpot is a great way to track the progress of the deal and the actions taken. Next time you review the deal, you can review the notes and tasks to see what has been done and what is needed.
- Review the Timeline: The Timeline shows the recent events, key property changes, and AI Deal Health changes over the history of the deal. They are color coded by impact on the deal (red = negative, yellow = neutral, green = positive). Expand any timeline event to see details.
Wrapping Up
When you are finished with Deal Pulse Mode, click the "Finish Session" button in the top left corner of the Deal Pulse page.
You are presented with a summary of the session including the number of deals selected, deals confirmed, session duration, and average review time per deal.

Making the Most of Deal Pulse & Deal Pulse Mode
- Create Filter Presets: Creating filter presets for deals closing soon with low Customer Intent, Deals with low confidence in Close Date and others to monitor key deals and increase confidence in your pipeline quality.
- Use Deal Pulse Mode Yourself: Use Deal Pulse Mode to quickly review deals and update HubSpot directly. Some CEOs and VP Sales/CROs do this on their own!
- Get Your Sales Team to Get their Forecast In Shape: Use Deal Pulse Mode and filter by Deal Owner to have your sales team get their deals cleaned up and pick up some tips to increase win rate. It's a great way to ensure Deal Review meetings are more effective and efficient.
