Deal Pulse
The Deal Pulse (opens in a new tab) page is your command center for managing and tracking your open sales deals. It displays all of your open sales deals in a filterable, searchable list so you can review the Data Parrot AI Insights and take action.
Data Parrot analyzes all of your open sales deals and provides a high level Deal Health Score and Forecast Category - you can drill into the details of each deal to see additional detailed AI analysis.

How to use Deal Pulse
The Deal Pulse page gives you tools to filter, sort and search your open sales deals so you can understand the health of your pipeline through each individual deal analysis.
Main Filters
You can filter on Close Date Range, Pipeline/Stage(s), Deal Owner(s), and Team(s).
Optionally, you can save this as a preset to recall later.

Deal Pulse Filters
Here you can filter by the various AI Analysis categories including AI Health, Forecast Category, Deal Status, Customer Intent, Competitive Position, Sales Performance, Close Date Confidence, and Deal Stage Confidence.
As you select filters, the numbers will change to reflect the number of deals that match the filters.
You can also save the filters as a preset to recall later.

Filtering Deals - AI Analysis
The available AI Analysis filters in Deal Pulse are:
- AI Health: The AI Health Score of the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low)
- Forecast Category: The Forecast Category of the deal (Commit, Best Case, Pipeline)
- Deal Status: Reveals if the deal is active or stuck (Active, Stuck, Dormant, Dead, Inactive, No Activity)
- Customer Intent: The Customer Intent of the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low). Sometimes referred to as Purchase Intent.
- Competitive Position: The Competitive Position of your company with the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low)
- Sales Performance: Analysis of how well the sales person is performing with the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low)
- Close Date Confidence: The AI Confidence of the Close Date of the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low)
- Deal Stage Confidence: The AI Confidence of the Deal Stage of the deal (Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low)
Note: All of these AI insights are automatically generated and updated as the deal progresses.
Viewing your Deals
Once you have applied your filters, you will see a list of deals that match your criteria.

Above the Deal Cards, you can search for deals by name, and sort by Amount, Close Date, or Create Date.

- Recent Events: Shows the most recent 4 events - including calls, meetings, emails, and key property changes. Click engagements to open the engagement in HubSpot.
- Signals: Shows quick icon indicators for the key deal signals including Deal Status, Customer Intent, Competitive Position, and Sales Performance.
- Hygiene: Shows quick icon indicators for confidence in Deal Close Date and Deal Stage.
AI Deal Health Analysis
Each deal is analyzed daily by Data Parrot to provide AI insights into the deal quality.
You can expand the Deal Health/Forecast Category, Signals, Hygiene and Suggestions to see the detailed AI analysis.

Suggestions displays a list of suggested next steps. Click the circle buttons to either create a Note or a Task directly in HubSpot.
Deal Pulse Mode
Deal Pulse Mode is a faster, more efficient way to review deals and focus on coaching your sales team and helping you build a higher quality sales forecast.
It is a gamified way to review deals, with a progress bar, timer, and a focus on the current deal you are reviewing.
The most common use cases are:
- Individual Sales People cleaning up their own deals before a Deal Review Meeting
- Sales Leaders running a Deal Review Meeting with their team
- Sales People running a Deal Review Meeting with themselves
- Sales Leaders cleaning up deals before committing a forecast
In Deal Pulse Mode, you can quickly get a complete picture of everything going on with the deal, the AI analysis, and update key HubSpot properties directly including Close Date, Stage, and Amount.
Deal Pulse Mode is "going full-screen" on a single deal at a time - review the history, update the key deal details in HubSpot, create winning plans, and confirm / move to the next deal.
How to use Deal Pulse Mode
How to Start
Go to Deal Pulse (opens in a new tab), then click the "Deal Pulse Mode" button in the top right corner of the Deal Pulse page.

Choose your filters. Pick from:
- Pipelines & Stages
- Teams
- Deal Owners
- Deal Pulse (AI Analysis)
- Close Date Range
- Deal Amount Range
If you had filters selected in either Deal Pulse or AI Forecast, they will be pre-selected in Deal Pulse Mode.
Once you have chosen your filters, click the "Start Session" button.

Running Deal Pulse Mode
Deal Pulse Mode will now display a single deal card at a time.

Top Banner - overall session stats and actions:
- Finish Session button to end the session and get summary stats.
- 3 timers: Time Reviewing Current Deal, Avg Review Time per Deal, and Total Session Time.
Left Column - General Deal Information and Timeline:
- General Deal Information including Deal Name, Associated Company/Contact, Amount, Pipeline/Stage, Close Date, and Deal Owner.
- Recent Events including Engagements, key Property History Changes, and AI Deal Health changes. Click any row to see the details.
Right Column - AI Deal Analysis:
- AI Deal Health Score, Forecast Category, AI Summary and Refresh AI. Refresh AI is used after you confirm deal changes and re-calculates the AI analysis.
- AI Deal Signals including Deal Status, Customer Intent, Competition, and Sales Performance.
- AI Deal Hygiene including Close Date confidence and Deal Stage confidence.
- AI Deal Suggestions / Next Steps
Action Bar - Update HubSpot properties, create Notes and Tasks:
- Change the Close Date, Stage, Forecast Category (coming soon) and Amount directly in the Action Bar. These changes need to be confirmed to be saved.
- Create a Note or Task directly in HubSpot for this deal via the icons on the right.
Bottom Bar - Forecast changes, back/next/confirm buttons, chat with the AI and total confirmed deals:
- The Bar Chart shows the initial Forecast and the new forecast with the monthly impact (+/- amount).
- Back/Next/Confirm buttons to navigate through the deals. Ensure you click "confirm" after updating the deal details.
- Some users may see a "Discuss this Deal" button. You can voice chat with the Data Parrot AI to get a summary of the deal and ask questions.
- The total number of deals reviewed and the number of deals confirmed is displayed.
Taking Action in Deal Pulse Mode
During Deal Pulse Mode, you can take the following actions:
Actions to Take:
- Expand Engagements: Click the arrow on the right of Recent Events to expand the list of events.
- Update HubSpot Directly: Enter the updated values of Close Date, Stage, Forecast Category and Amount in the Action Bar, then click the Checkmark/Confirm button to update HubSpot. Unconfirmed changes will glow.
- Open the Deal in HubSpot: click the blue Deal Name to open the deal in HubSpot.
- Create Note or Task: Click the buttons on the Action Bar (far right) to create a Note or Task directly in HubSpot.
- Discuss this Deal: Click the Discuss this Deal button to "talk" to Data Parrot. Be sure to have your mic & speakers on (or headset), and have minimal background noise. This is an early preview!
As you confirm changes the bar chart will update showing you the before and after values of your forecast for the targeted deals. The Confirmed Deals count and session timers will also update.
Wrapping Up
When you are finished with Deal Pulse Mode, click the "Finish Session" button in the top left corner of the Deal Pulse page.
You are presented with a summary of the session including the number of deals selected, deals confirmed, session duration, and average review time per deal.

Making the Most of Deal Pulse & Deal Pulse Mode
- Create Filter Presets: Creating filter presets for deals closing soon with low Customer Intent, Deals with low confidence in Close Date and others to monitor key deals and increase confidence in your pipeline quality.
- Combine Filtering and Sorting: Create filter presets then sort them to quickly scan deals. For example, filter by deals with low Health and sort by Close Date to see which deals are closing soon.
- Use Deal Pulse Mode Yourself: Use Deal Pulse Mode to quickly review deals and update HubSpot directly. Some CEOs and VP Sales/CROs do this on their own!
- Get Your Sales Team to Get their Forecast In Shape: Use Deal Pulse Mode and filter by Deal Owner to have your sales team get their deals cleaned up and pick up some tips to increase win rate.
